The College standing majestic with its imposing building structure on the Pollachi- Valparai main road just ten kilometers away from Pollachi town in a natural setting, most conducive to higher education and learning against the back drop of evergreen Anaimalai Hills and Western Ghats has grown into a Temple-of-Learning in a short span of time, from June 1997 when it started functioning. No doubt it caters to the educational requirements of both urban and rural people of Pollachi and Udumalpet region.

     The prime objective of Universities and colleges is to make the student a cultivated individual imbued with the passion for meaningful knowledge and a sense of values. The training and development of the human soul, the liberation of the mind, the awakening of the consciousness of personal dignity and the dedication of one’s service to the cause of human progress constitute the vital responsibility of higher education for the orderly growth and development of the student.

     Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science founded on 2nd October 1996 by Thiru. S.Ramasamy Reddiar whose family is well known for its dedicated service to education and philanthropy, exists for the student and to promote the fullest and complete realization of the student’s possibilities on all planes – physical, intellectual and spiritual.
